Who I am
In a nutshell
I am Michael Sinnhuber – founder of workshop.guru and MCPREZI, Austria’s only certified Prezi Expert and Top 7 worldwide, author of „3, 2, 1… Reden ist jetzt Deins.“ The english version called „The 24 Hour Speaker“ is coming soon.
For over 10 years I have been helping people and companies master one of the most important skills there is: communicating clearly what they know, can do and want – in front of an audience, in meetings, in pitches and on stage.
My starting point was not strength but weakness. As a student I had severe stage fright. A seminar in May 1998 changed everything – and turned a struggle into a passion.
Today I know: compelling communication is not a question of talent. It is a question of architecture.
The slightly longer story
Presentation and Public Speaking are my passion today. That was not always the case.
During my school and university years I hated speaking in front of people – just like most people do. Until I had a defining experience at university that changed everything. Where I used to keep my head down when volunteers were needed, from that day on I was always the first to raise my hand.
That changed my life massively for the better.
From that moment on I was the one who stood in the spotlight, who was remembered by others and who took the lead when it came to convincing communication – professionally and personally.
The most important skill I ever developed
Looking back I am convinced: the ability to communicate my opinion and message convincingly, confidently and without fear in front of any audience – that is the skill that has contributed most to my professional success. More than any other education or training I have ever had.
From employee to entrepreneur
After many years in marketing, communication and sales – in national and international companies – and after sitting through countless endlessly boring presentations, I wanted to do my part. In 2012 I founded MCPREZI in my living room.
Today I work with national and international companies, startups, executives and individuals around the world. Over the past years I have worked with more than 150 companies, coached more than 500 people and developed more than 1,000 presentations – including pitch decks that secured contracts worth six, seven and eight figures.
As Austria’s only certified Prezi Expert I am among the Top 7 worldwide.
I am also Managing Director of Mittersill Plus GmbH – combining tourism and city marketing in my home region in the Salzburg Pinzgau. Speaking in front of people is my daily bread there too – at events, interviews and in various committees.
I have compiled all my knowledge and experience in my book „3, 2, 1… Reden ist jetzt Deins“ – published October 2024. The english version called „The 24 Hour Speaker“ is coming soon.
