Job interview coaching: make your case when you are the one being presented

Job interview coaching with public speaking coach Michael Sinnhuber prepares you for the moment when you are the one being presented: a job interview, a hearing before a selection panel, a presentation in an assessment process or an internal application. We work on your story, your answers to tough questions and the way you come across, with a mock interview under realistic conditions. Online or in Mittersill (Austria), in English or German. From €250 net (€300 gross) per hour.

In a job interview, you are the solution.
Make sure that is what they remember.

What is coming up for you?

For every meeting that ends with someone saying: that's the person we want.

  • Job interview

You've been invited. Now it's about being remembered, not just your CV.

  • Hearing before a selection panel

For a leadership role or a public-sector position. Several panel members, a strict time limit and plenty of questions.

  • Assessment presentation

A case study, a concept or your plan for the first 100 days. Short, clear and convincing.

  • Internal application and promotion

They already know you. That is exactly why you need to show why you are ready for the next role now.

Do you need to give a longer presentation as part of the process? Presentation coaching can help with that too.

What we work on

We follow the four phases of the House of Speaking method, from the foundation to the moment the decision is made.

  1. What we work on – Foundation Foundation You know your value and can show it.
  2. What we work on – Planning & building Planning & building Your story: why you are the answer to this role.
  3. What we work on – Design Design If a presentation is required: a few slides, one clear message.
  4. What we work on – Delivery Delivery Calm under tough questions, fully present in the conversation.

You are the solution

A job interview isn’t really about you. It’s about a problem: a position is open, and someone is looking for the person who will fill it well. In that conversation, you are the solution. That is why preparation doesn’t start with your CV, but with the question of what the people across the table really need.

There is something else to bear in mind: the decision is rarely made in the interview itself, but often days later. By then, what counts is what they still remember. A clear story with two or three strong examples sticks. A list of career stages doesn’t.

Frequently asked questions

How soon before my interview should I start?

Two to four weeks with the Talk sprint is ideal. If your interview is only days away, a single session can still make a real difference. Depending on availability, that is often possible at short notice.

Which questions do we prepare for?

The classic questions about motivation, strengths and weaknesses, and above all the tough questions specific to your situation: gaps in your CV, a change of industry or why you are the right internal candidate.

What is the difference between a job interview and a hearing?

In a hearing you usually face a panel of several people, with a fixed time slot, often a presentation and a round of questions afterwards. That calls for a clear structure and a calm presence in front of a group.

Does the coaching help with video interviews?

Yes. Many interviews now take place by video. We rehearse in exactly the same format as your interview, and also look at camera, lighting and sound.

Can I apply with a presentation?

Yes, and it will make you stand out. For an idea of what that can look like, see this example of an application as a Prezi. In coaching we work out whether it suits the role you are applying for.

Is the coaching confidential?

Yes, always. Discretion is fundamental to the way I work: what we discuss stays between us, without exception. The same applies to any documents, figures and internal information we work with.

When is your interview?

Tell me about it in a short, free intro call. We'll work out what you need, which format will get you there and whether we're a good fit.
