Leadership communication coaching: communicate with clarity, lead with impact
Leadership communication coaching with public speaking coach Michael Sinnhuber focuses on how you talk with your team and in front of it: in one-to-ones, in meetings, when you communicate change or difficult news, and in addresses to the whole company. You work on your real situations, and if you like, on an ongoing basis through monthly sparring. Online or in Mittersill (Austria), in English or German. From €250 net (€300 gross) per hour.
“Communication is the art of aiming at the heart to hit the head.”
attributed to Vance Packard
Teams don't follow the most polished presentation.
They follow the leader who sets a clear direction and really listens.
Where leadership communication counts
The moments when your team decides whether to follow your lead.
-
One-to-ones
Feedback, objectives and constructive criticism. Clear on substance, respectful in tone.
-
Running meetings
Decisions instead of endless discussion. Everyone has a voice, and you stay in control.
-
Communicating change and bad news
A new strategy, a restructuring, cost cuts. Communicated in a way that builds understanding and buy-in.
-
All-hands and town halls
Annual kick-off, town hall, staff meeting or year-end party. A few minutes your people will remember.
Presenting to the board or supervisory board? See presentation coaching.
What we work on
We follow the four phases of the House of Speaking method, from the foundation to the moment your team is on board.
-
Foundation Your mindset: firm on substance, respectful in tone. -
Planning & building Where you are heading and why, in language your team relates to. -
Design Stories and examples rather than slides full of KPIs. -
Delivery Voice, presence and active listening.
What I have learned as a managing director
As managing director of Mittersill Plus, I spend a lot of time on stage. But the conversations that matter most happen elsewhere: in the Monday team meeting, in a one-to-one, or in a session where a tough decision has to be made.
The lesson I keep learning: my team doesn’t follow the perfect speech. It follows when the direction is clear, the reasons make sense and everyone feels heard. Leadership is about speaking, but it is just as much about listening. That is exactly what we work on together.

Your coach
I'm Michael Sinnhuber, public speaking coach and author of “3, 2, 1… Reden ist jetzt Deins”. As managing director of Mittersill Plus, I lead a team myself and regularly speak to local businesses, municipalities and partners. So I know first-hand what it is like when a team isn't on board, and what turns it around.
“Throughout our work together, Mr Sinnhuber kept challenging old ways of thinking and looking for new approaches. […] Thanks to the intensive collaboration and the way he involved us, we took away a great deal and it has stuck!”
Frequently asked questions
Who is this coaching for?
For managing directors, heads of department and team leaders, and especially for anyone stepping into a leadership role for the first time. In short, for anyone who needs their words to move a team.
How is this different from a leadership seminar?
A seminar teaches general leadership models to a group. Coaching works on your actual conversations, meetings and addresses, with your team in mind. So you can put what you practise into action the very next day.
How does the sparring work?
With Sparring we meet twice a month for 90 minutes. We prepare upcoming conversations and talks, and debrief your team meetings: what landed and what you could say differently. Sparring runs for a minimum of six months and is invoiced monthly.
Will my company cover the cost?
Often, yes. Leadership communication coaching is a standard part of professional development budgets, and the invoice can be issued to your company. For businesses in other EU countries, the reverse-charge mechanism usually applies.
Is the coaching confidential?
Yes, always. Discretion is fundamental to the way I work: what we discuss stays between us, without exception. The same applies to any documents, figures and internal information we work with.
Can I work with my whole leadership team?
Yes. Leadership communication is also available as a team workshop for your entire leadership team, as a half-day or full-day session, at your location or online.
What conversation is coming up for you?
Tell me what is going on in your team in a short, free intro call. We'll work out what you need, which format will get you there and whether we're a good fit.
